We are a small farm with a passion for working with nature to grow healthy food and create wonderful skin care products. Cattle, Chickens and Vegetables are all grown using natural sustainable methods. We don not use chemical herbicides or chemical pesticides. The Chickens free range most of the day, giving us wholesome, flavorful eggs. We use the tallow from our beef along with other all natural oils, butters and herbs we grow or forage on the farm for the skin care products we make.
We are a second generation farm on this land. The gardens, fruit orchards and some of the out buildings have been here for nearly 50 years. Reviving and rebuilding the farm has been a huge task. We continue to restore old and build new creating our little place of peace in the world around us. We have added the ADCA registered cattle. Building the high tunnel has provided an extension the the growing season.
Cattle
We chose Dexter cattle for several reasons. First of all their small size is perfect for our farm. Their easy going, friendly temperament makes them great family cows. These cows are dual purpose, they have wonderful milk and the meat is tender and very flavorful.
High Tunnel
The High Tunnel was completed in 2024 and began production in 2025. In the tunnel we grow lettuce and mixed greens during the winter months then Strawberries, tomatoes and peppers in the early spring and late fall. The enclosed and protected beds extend the growing season beyond the regular outdoor season.
Garden
We grow heirloom tomatoes, many varieties of peppers, pole beans, cucumbers, corn and other common garden favorites. Five years ago we began to use the no till method, creating garden beds with layers of compost and leaves from fall yard cleanup. The pathways between the rows are kept neat by mowing them.
Chickens
We have a many different breeds of barn yard chickens. These include 40-50 hens for eggs that feed our family and our customers. And we grow broiler chickens raised for meat. The morning would not be complete without the sounds of the rooster chorus.
Skin Care Products
We make homemade soaps, lotions and herbal salves on the farm. The soaps and lotions are made of all natural ingredients, and the salves use herbs that are grown on the farm. However, if we do not have the proper plant we use all natural essential oils or dried organic herbs sourced from reputable companies
